London Book Fair will have a complementary business lounge at this year's BookExpo America, with meeting areas, an internet cafe and will screen highlights of this year's London Book Fair.
Organisers said the lounge was to recognise those who could not attend April's fair because of the widespread disruption caused by the volcanic ash cloud. The lounge will be in the 4E Terrace off the Crystal Palace. The organisers will also have stand on the show floor for sales enquiries.
LBF will also launch its new Connect service at BEA, a social networking site that allows members to create profiles, search for visitors and exhibitors, communicate and arrange meetings.
Alistair Burtenshaw, group exhibition director of London Book Fair, said: "LBF 2010 was certainly memorable both for those who were there and those who couldn’t get there! It is our pleasure to be able to provide a corner of LBF and Britain in a sister fair here in New York.
"We are delighted to have the opportunity to meet with those who were grounded this year due to the volcanic ash and to bring a taste of The London Book Fair both through showcasing some of our seminars and events but also through the ever British medium of tea and cakes.
"This is just one of the ways we are thanking our customers for their support of us and also a fantastic opportunity to provide a networking forum just six weeks after The London Book Fair."
